Donation based International Life Model Auditions (1)

Since 2005 I've been trying to Help Life Models because I simply used to be one of them posing for Parisian Art schools and drawing tourists in Montnartre at sunny weekends. At that time in 2005, I trippled my model's wages, without realizing that this would change everything. Then, there were only about 50 models in London but in 2007 they were about 5,000. This stopped the end of in person Life Drawing classes that were closing down like wild fire. Unfortunately someone British, decided to take advantage of the situation and charge them to work, ran classes using only auditionnees or herself as model, to save/make money and using the cheapest venue in Central London. Hopefully this will never or never happened yet anywhere else, and if it did please let me know what happened as we are helping everywhere...

Because this should have never happened and to do whatever it takes so it won't happen again, this class will remain FREE, hopefully forever when the younger generations take over...

What's great about this class for an Artist?:

Well, most people coming to those, love the tension that models show, the novelty even in the poses, the state of mind those models will never encounter again, this unique factor. 

Then when an Artist likes what he/she sees the next step is to make sure we employ him or her again and help them start a new carrier. This donation goes straight to the model. If you don't donate this means that we'll have to tell that model that they should open their mind to other carriers/jobs... Those who always turn up and never donate will be kindly reminded as we always keep a temporary record.

Because Pass holders/ Monthly members, can save money in comparison to the average £10 for a class out there on Zoom they can start donating a little and influence our choices even £1 is enough to show their interest. They simply make sure that they'll be drawing people they truly want to draw. Some Artists don't mind who they draw, some do and we try to help everyone. 

What's great if you are a Life model/Model?

Firtly things have changed as modeling at in Person classes you are completely visible and feeling vulnerable. Many adore this feeling :). Now you can adapt your poses to what you are comfortable with such as not showing legs or tummy, etc... You can choose your poses rehearsing as if only one person was drawing and showing yourself the way you want.

Some prefer being Nude, some not and that's fine too as part of our audience in fact prefer them to be slightly covered and some would just prefer to show their Bust. Auditions allow models to show and do what they'll do in the future. If you are a dancer then you can already show those poses, if very srong and flexible then do those poses and we also show you some to help.

We will give you plenty of advice and reference images so that you are ready to audition with a smile. We do not record your audition unless you don't mind and sign our video model release so that our Pass holders can continue drawing you for the next few years.

For maximum long term Privacy security we ask you to use a new model name and avoid giving contact details unless we tell you it's fine.

You can audition as many time as you wish until you feel you are ready.

You can appear on the Art map and be found by local Artists and Class organizers at  no cost to you ever.

You can have your own Working group where members pay a small recurring fee until they can afford your time but see what you've been doing in between and may decide to pay for your in person service... By then you'll know them better.

Anyway the very reason while we are enjoying hours of creativity every month is only thanks to them, the models as only 10 % of class organizers can Draw/Paint at all, Others use their social skills, laptops, natural charm, their CV, status, Written English, nationality, network, friends or Free Food and wine at in person classes. Now you know the tricks so if you feel tempted, I might be able help if you decide to give it a go :).
